Set mine back 10 inch's in car I'm building that's what 10% of wheel base came out to be. That is if you are building by true Gasser rules of the day. Making for fun time get three pedals in the foot well having to move seats back just a little.

Yeah, I agree, go with the 10% if you can, but that might be a bit radical depending on your wheelbase.

10% of the w/b on a Pontiac will be 12 inches . Thats why thinking only 7 inches maybe 10 inches . Have all the mounts ready to go. Moved it back in the shop (have extra money wife does not know about ha ha) Have a 59 Chevy axle but was thinking about a straight axle from Speedway? any thoughts?
