Hi everyone...new guy here and I friggin' *live* for gassers. I haven't got one....yet....but I'm making plans. Once I have the money to pull it off, I'm planning to build something truly insane: a 1972 Pinto gasser. The concept is "What would a Pinto drag car have looked like if Pro Stock had never happened?" and I want to go the whole nine yards with it...straight axle, hot SBF with Hilborn stacks, fender well headers, pie crust cheater slicks...not a period build, obviously, but certainly a build that should get me 5150'ed. Now...when I came up with the idea back in 2009, I thought it was a completely original one....but a couple years later I discovered that somebody has done a Vega wagon gasser. Dammit. Nonetheless I am undaunted and someday hope to bring this bug nutty vision of mine to a reality.
Oh...and I've drooled my way through the photo section and saw an opportunity to contribute. I've got a nuts ton of gasser and AFX photos I've shot at various Southern California car shows over the years. Any interest?

Make sure you post progress pics when you get started. Defiantly start a thread and post your pictures. I'll bet you have some cool ones!
