i just purchased a 56 ford custoline and everyone says put a straight axle under it.being intrigued and looking at pics of 56 ford gassers i like what i see and think it would be badd ass. i see speedway has a gasser straight axle kit thats not bad priced .from reading some posts and seeing different pics i see alot of gassers tith the front frames cut off an new frame rails installed, can i use this kit and keep my original frame rails?would really like to make it into a gasser but also may consider putting it back to stock someday thanks for allowing me to be part of your group

Any straight axle can be installed with the stock frame rails. Just depends on what your skill level is, and what stance you like. It's easy to do with the nose high, but if you want to go straight axle and keep it a bit lower, stubbing the frame works out better, and looks cleaner.
