Hi Everyone, I just found your site & had to join up. I'm a car nut, & love everything old. I have 4 Hot rods, My pride & joy is my 1964 Chevy Truck SWB stepside, This is my favorite body style truck, the coolest thing about these trucks is all the curves of the cab & fenders. I built it from the the ground up, Slammed to the ground, 427, 2 four polished tunnel ram, 5-speed, 12 bolt Posi. 373 gears, Moser axles, plus tons of other extras. 1977 Chevy Vega Wagon with a small block, 1965 Dodge Polara with a 383, was an original barn find, it's a driver fixer upper. I have a lot of goodies bought up to install this winter for it. A 2003 Ford Harley Davidson truck supercharged 5.4 silver & black. Now I have finally found & bought my favorite car. A 1951 Henry J, I've loved these cars since I was a teenager. The car was an original Gasser back in the day !!! It came from the east coast & I'm going to do research on this car. I hope to find more information on & maybe even some old pics of it too. The body was switched off of the Gasser frame setup to a different frame (a 60s Chevy front end & Henry J back half). I've never built a Gasser before but plan on bring it back to life again. The body is in great shape all the outer panels are solid, very little rust in the car, only rust is in the floors & small amount under back of the trunk. I just got her jacked up yesterday & going to start tearing her apart. I also plan on chopping the top a little bit, from a lot of the pics I've seen, I think they look cool as hell. I'm going to start ordering new parts & in between start on the Dodge getting it ready for the spring. I drive my truck to most shows but I switch off & drive the Dodge. My buddy has a Dart & we go to some of the Mopar shows...... Hey you guys let me know if you have any info on parts, information on building the Gasser, or anything else. Email me anytime, & I know I will be adding pics soon. my email is truckcruiser64@frontier.com look forward to talking with you.
