I'm building a 51 J with a 354 Hemi pushbutton, straight axle, tilt nose,allsteel car, I need some mental help doi'n the steering setup ,help !!!!! jersey jim.

another "j" can't go wrong there. i have two of them. one is a street gasser and the other is being built as a drag car only. i used mustang steering boxes in both of mine with a cross steer arrangement. i am using chevy small blocks in them both, so i don't know for sure if it would work in you car. hemi's do take up some room. good luck!

I am building a 51 myself would you know of a hood.Mine will have a blown 440 mopar 4 speed good luck

Sounds like some badass J's!!! You can always us a Vega box, they're small and work well with cross steer, which is a must!!

I just sold my Henry so I can get started on my Willys!! Anyway, I used a Volvo box on mine, I think they call them 140, 0r 144's I mounted it on a plate similar to a Mustang setup, but stuck it just behind the front body mount and ran a drag link to the drivers spindle.
