Our tri-five gassers all drive great. I took mine on a couple of 500 mile round trips and a 1000 mile round trip and it drove great. If your putting in the front-end from a duel leaf spring vehicle that handled fine in it's original home, and you get the geometry set-up correct it will handle just fine in it's new home. Don't use a mono-spring front-end setup with hair-pins, those are the setups that gave straight axled cars a bad reputation. Make sure you have about 8-10 degress of positive camber in your front axle, that means that the axle is tilted backwards about 8-10 degrees and try to get the draglink to be as close to parallel as possible to the front axle to prevent bump steer. We feel that these are two of the most important things to have set correctly if you want your straight axle car to handle great. One other thing that doesn't hurt is a steering stablizer, in case you hit that bump that does cause your front end to start the "shopping cart wheel wobble", with a steering stablizer you won't get that wobble(or shouldn't). The steering stablizer is more of a peace of mind thing then anything as you really shouldn't have any problems if you get the front-end setup right and it really isn't real tough to get them setup right. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply .Yes duel leafs 34 inches same as existing frame rails . The set up came out of a driving ford truck that was stubbed. ANY info on rearching springs , brackets or where else to get some info would be great . I 'm located in central WI and should be at Jefferson swapmeet. I also was wondering about using my steering box or which to use.

Kramer (I think it's with a "K") spring in Inver Grove Heights, MN (i think) re-arched our springs as well as selling us the mounts. We use Saginaw 525/122 manual steering boxes in our cars.
