im building a 56 chevy gasser and bought a straight axle kit thru speedway has anyone ever used one or have any likes dislikes about there kit?

I have one in my Nova. Been the front suspension since 2000, been driven on since 2003. They don't even make my axle anymore (its a 2" drop). I liked it until last month when one of the spring perches broke, but what can I expect after 8 years of street driving? Its a really nice setup. My advice to stregthen his weak point is to buy u-bolts to go around the axle, through the perches, and into a 1/2" steel plate on top of the springs. This should fix some of the push and pull on the perch itself and provide a small safety net if something should break. Just my 2 cents. Still love the kit.

I have one on my Nova also and like it. Like was said above, just make sure you have strong welds on the mounting points.
