Hello Gentlemen , I can tell by the interest that the Gasser craze is slowly , yet surely , coming back to life ( not that it ever died , thanks to groups like you fellas ). I , personally , think it would be Great if you widened your Membership to include we "newbies" and older guys and Gals who have recently jumped on the band wagon , for perhaps a second time . There are many "lost Souls " out there in back yard garages , who need info , direction , parts and most important of all Fellowship ......buddies with the same interest and drive , who speak and understand the same language. Gasser Talk !! :-) I urge my fellow web-members to send in their opinions on this . Like it or not ......we are a different breed of "car guys " . Thankyou , Gassers Inc. , for giving me the incentive to begin building the car I have always wanted to drive . Thanks Jim for the e-mails and the support !! Kindest Regards, Elwood

Glad to help Elwood. But as far as the members thing, we get asked all of the time to join the club and we really aren't a club, we are a few local friends that love drag racing and gassers and not really big on the whole car club thing right now, maybe in the future but right now. But we put this site up to help and I added this forum as a way for people with the same gassers sickness to get together and help each other out and share idea's and info. Keep building those gasser styled cars because unlike other crazes we also believe that people have always like this era of drag racing and it just happens to be getting popular, all the more reason for this site, we need to help people see what the history is behind this new found craze.

Infectious isn't the word.......All of my friends saw me drag home a rusted '50 Chev 2 door coup. They all thought I was crazier than usual . Now that I have spent a Winter just working on the frame , putting on the front axle and doing the brakes , they're starting to take interest . Every time they see the shop lights on , there's 3 or 4 guys hanging around and wanting more info . I'm doing this by the seat of my pants . Gassers Inc have planted the seed and now I have to harvest what ever grows.
I can't wait to show up at the Thursday Night A&W show and shines . I'll park right beside some "boughten" Barrett freakin' Jackson car and give her a shot of gas , hopefully scaring the crap out of the owner :-) Elwood

*Lost Souls",good name for a gasser or car club.Yep,even in the hotrod world, you feel like if I have to explain it to you, your just NOT going to get it.I,ve always wondered,it must be nearly 40 years ago, some American gasser stuff was on tour and ended up in a tuppeny halfpenny garage in Harringay London, where I used to live.Mind blowing for a car crazy schoolkid, and you see there was no cure, but what the hell were they doing there??Was it all a figment of my imagination
