I'm a little unsure on the question. If it were me I'd make a cardboard template of the opening for grille and lights from my stock frontend, and then tape it in place on the glass frontend and see how it lays out. Once it looked good I' cut it out with a jigsaw about 1/2"-3/4" smaller than I marked and then do final fitting to the marks with the actual grille and lights. As for whether it will last; that depends on how well it's made. If it's designed for street use, and well braced, then it should last well if properly installed. If it's a lightweight race frontend, then it should have further glassed in bracing added and a full tube structure built inside to make it stronger for street use. Even a full steel tilt frontend will need extra bracing when converted to one piece tilt. I converted my steel pieces to one piece tilt, and did a lot of extra internal support to keep it from flexing and help it sit correctly when closed.
