Does anybody know the whereabouts of this vehicle? My dad owned the car from 1979 - 1981. It was a Long Island, New York gasser in the 60's and toured the east coast with the Jack Merkel cars. My dad bought the car from "Big" Jim Hasse of S&K Speed and put the car on the road in the condition as seen in the picture. The last we heard, the car was in Maryland and was silver and pro streeted. We would like to have any info that can be provided. The VIN for the car was made by my dad and read 1940WILLYS, the NY title reflected it.

I'd log into the HAMB message board on www.jalopyjournal.com and post the question, many old drag racers on there that might be able to point you in the right direction. Cool looking car!!

Thank you for the help. Yeah, it was a pretty cool car, not that I remember it. I now have a car that I tried to build like a gasser. From my user name, I'm sure you guessed its a 64 Nova. Here's a picure for you.

I dig the Nova! There is something so right about car seats in a Gasser!

Thank you. Of course, the kiddies HAVE to go cruisin' with us. They actually look forward to it every weekend. They get mad when we can't go. At 5 (girl) and 2 (boy), they still don't understand that every weekend can't be a cruisin' weekend.
