I was reading the how-to's and why was the engine placed 2 to 3 inches higher?

You know, I can't remember why, maybe because of a clearance issue with the tierod, I'll check with Lonnie.

I asked Bob and Lonnie about this and they said it put the crank at the NHRA legal height of 24" off of the ground and in theory I think allows for a bit more weight transfer to the rear, I think, but it was to put the crank at the NHRA 24" height off of the ground.
