Setting up a 1951 Chevy Coupe. Planing on using a 413 mopar power plant. Can anyone out there give me some info on the Best length spring to use on the Straight axle? The Ones I have now are 38 "center to center. And the Axle is Off Centered. What was the purpose for the off centeing. ( The Axle Does Not set in the Middle of the Spring) 20 " on the Back and 18 " Towards the Front. :'( I Was Thinking on Runniing a Shorter Spring Like 29 "To Gain Height. The Axle I have is a 4 " Drop. Would that Be A Better Set up or should I Run The Longer Spring For the Better Ride. I've Build Many Rides Before But Never a Gasser Big Block. Any Help Would Sure Be Thank Full ! Thanks Al

38" does seem a little long. Not sure why the springs would be offset like that. I think the 29" springs might be a bit short and be a bit bouncy, but with the big mopar in there it might ride OK.
