Hey Dude , Elwood here ,
I had a set of " regular" headers and needed fenderwell headers for my '50 Chevy 2 door coupe .
I simply cut the tubes 1" from the flange welded on 12" pieces of exhaust pipe and then welded the curved tubing to the other end . Looks old school , yet professional. Regular small block headers are cheap and easy to come by , second hand. If you buy tubing the right size your existing header tubes will fit snugly insde . Mida muffler actually gave me 4 shorter pieces of tube from their scrap bin.......cost me 6 do-nuts and 2 coffee.
I sprayed them with hi-temp flat black and actually baked 'em in the BBQ outside . No stink that way :-)
I believe that a Gasser should be built , not bought . Just like in the Old Days :-)

E-Mail Bob from our main site and see if he has a set he wants to sell. His e-mail is MaaaDukes@aol.com. Not sure if he even has anything or if he does if he would sell, but I thought he had a set.

I wish I knew why the small blocks are so expensive as the big block ones are a little over $200, weird. Watch ebay as they pop every once in awhile and usually can be had for around $300-$350. here's a link for ebay for fenderwell headers and there are a couple there up for auction now(3/16/09): motors.shop.ebay.com/__?_from=R40&_trksid=p3841.m39.l1313&_nkw=fenderwell+headers&_sacat=
